TJ's Piccata Simmer Sauce

Is it just me, or does this sauce seem a bit overseasoned? I usually use this with some boneless, skinless chicken breast for a quick meal at dinner. The aroma is quite pleasant, however, once the sauce is in my mouth, I taste a strong herbal flavor that almost overpowers everything else. Is this how an authentic piccata sauce should taste? I haven't had anything appoaching the real thing in ages -- not since my days in Los Angeles.
